The front porch of this project needed some TLC. Over the years, the brick steps settled and cracked, When we took some measurements, the steps were inconsistent and would not pass the building codes if an inspection was conducted. In addition, the steps were only 12 inches wide, and for a big and beautiful house like this, it is more aesthetically appealing to have wider steps (15-16 inches). We matched the mortar, which was federal white/ivory; we matched the brown masonry sand; we used ACME bricks from Nashville Bricks. In the end, our brick masons turned this into a beautiful brick porch and brick patio.
